ASMS Students Visit AOC

Students from the Alabama School of Math & Science visited AOC on January 26, 2010. The students are members of the DECA Career Club. They visited with three of our orthopaedic surgeons, our CEO and HR Director to discuss the various healthcare career options. The students viewed a live surgery in our Outpatient Surgery Center, visited our X-ray department to learn about our state of the art digital x-ray equipment and visited our Physical Therapy Department. They also learned about our clinic flow, the types of injuries we treat at AOC and how to cast a fractured wrist. This is a great opportunity for students to be exposed to a wide range of health care careers and unique opportunity for AOC to give back to our community.
